Application

Dioctyl terephthalate (abbreviated DOP) is a colorless transparent liquid with low volatility and low solubility. It is a high temperature stable lubricant soluble in organic solvents.

The main use of DOP is as a plastic additive, especially in the production of polyvinyl chloride (PVC). It can improve the plasticity and flexibility of PVC, making it easy to process into various shapes of products. DOP is also used as a plasticizer and plasticizer in industries such as cable, synthetic leather, rubber and coatings.
