Product Description

Titanium dioxide (TiO2) stands as a cornerstone within the realm of inorganic chemical pigments. With its two distinctive forms, Rutile Titanium and Anatase Titanium, it exudes versatility. The creation of titanium dioxide embraces two main pathways: the sulfuric acid method and the chlorination method, both pivotal in its refinement. Its applications span a multitude of industries-coatings, printing inks, paper production, plastics, rubber, chemical fibers, ceramics, and beyond-illustrating its indispensable role in industrial processes.

1.Titanium dioxide is regarded as the best-performing white pigment in the world at present and is widely used in industries such as coatings, plastics, papermaking, printing inks, chemical fibers, rubber, and cosmetics.
2. Titanium dioxide (titanium dioxide) has stable chemical properties and does not react with most substances under normal circumstances. In nature, titanium dioxide has three types of crystals: anatase, rutile and anatase. Anatase is an unstable crystal form with no industrial application value. Both anatase, abbreviated as A type, and Rutile, abbreviated as R type, have stable lattices and are important white pigments and glazes for porcelain. Compared with other white pigments, they have superior whiteness, tinting strength, covering power, weather resistance, heat resistance, and chemical stability. Especially, it is non-toxic.
3. The coatings industry is the largest user of titanium dioxide. Coatings made from titanium dioxide are bright in color, have high covering power, strong tinting strength, low consumption, and a wide variety. They can protect the stability of the medium, enhance the mechanical strength and adhesion of the paint film, prevent cracking, prevent ultraviolet rays and moisture from penetrating, and extend the service life of the paint film.
4. The plastic industry is the second largest user. Adding titanium dioxide to plastics can enhance the heat resistance, light resistance and weather resistance of plastic products, improve their physical and chemical properties, increase their mechanical strength and extend their service life.
5. The papermaking industry is the third largest user of titanium dioxide. As a paper filler, it is mainly used in high-grade paper and thin paper. Adding titanium dioxide to paper can make it have better whiteness, good gloss, high strength, be thin and smooth, not penetrate during printing, and be light in weight. Titanium dioxide used in papermaking generally employs untreated rutile titanium dioxide, which can act as a fluorescent brightener and enhance the whiteness of the paper. However, laminated paper requires the use of surface-treated rutile titanium dioxide to meet the requirements of light resistance and heat resistance.
Titanium dioxide is also an indispensable white pigment in high-grade inks. Ink containing titanium dioxide is durable and does not change color, has good surface wettability and is easy to disperse.
7. The textile and chemical fiber industry is another important application field of titanium dioxide.
